Model Catalogue Information

YEAR INFORMATION
1996 Over 800 of these locomotives were built by the LMS and every one was painted in freight black, a colour that remained with these locomotives until the last of the Class was removed fron traffic in 1968. However, as the ringfield motor powered model shows, the austere appearance only goes to highlight the detailed body and intricate valve gear which are all hallmarks of the locomotive.
1997 L.M.S. built more than 800 Class 5 locomotives, the last of which ran in service until 1968. The colour was always freight black, which nicely shows off the exceptional body detailing and intricate valve gear of the Hornby model. A ringfield motor provides the power.
