YEAR INFORMATION
1998 The 4F was one of the most numerous classes in L.M.S. days , with 772 built in total. They were vacuum fitted to haul passenger trains, but were mainly used for unglamorous goods duties. Model carries post-Nationalisation emblem of 1956-1966, and other details place it specifically in 1958. The diagonal stripe behind the locomotive numbers means - not to be used past Crewe - (because of overhead wires). Ringfield motor in the tender.
