1997 Class 58 again, this one in the livery of the English, Welsh & Scottish Railway Company which first appeared on the tracks in 1996. EWS (it has bow discarded the ampersand) uses the locomotive mainly in its traditional role hauling coal in long strings of Merry Go Round (MGR) wagons. They do sometimes also use it in general freight service. Type 7 motor.
