YEAR INFORMATION
2002 Built by BREL at Crewe between 1987 and 1990 this class of 50 was originally intended for Express Passenger service however they have been seen pulling freight trains when the need has arisen. This particular example is shown in the Railfreight Distribution livery with the subsector markings denoting that it is suitable for mixed freight traffic. Powered by a ringfield motor the model has a working pantograph that will allow control from an overhead catenary system as well as via the rail in the conventional manner.
