| 2002 | Over 500 of the Brush Type 4 diesel electrics were produced at Brush traction and the BR Crewe Works. Originally parted in two tone green they were later re-painted in the more workmanlike colours of BR blue as per the new Hornby example. It can be seen that the prototype on which this model has been based is in need of a spell at the locomotive wash - work schedules permitting! The model is fitted with a ringfield motor and has pickups on eight of the 12 wheels. |
