YEAR INFORMATION
1994 Intended for the difficult London Hastings route where the clearances would not allow larger engines, the Schools were so successful that they were used on most other Southern services. The model has smoke deflectors and a coppered steam pipe and is tender powered by a Type 6 ringfield motor. Suitable for coaches R.162, R.163 and R.174.
1995 Maunsells Schools class was introduced in 1930 and the 40 locomotives were the heaviest and most powerful 4-4-0s in Britain. The model has a sprung drawbar and an auxilliary pick-up through the front bogie. The tender is powered by a Type 6 ringfield motor situated in the tender. Suitable for coaches R.162, R.163 and R.174.
