| 1999 | Hawksworth-designed County Class locomotives entered service in 1945-1947, the last and most powerful of the Great Western Railways famous two-cylinder 4-6-0s. County Of Gloucester is presented here in the mixed traffic livery of British Railways, 1949 onwards. Single chimney places this version of the locomotive in the early post-war period. (Double chimneys were fitted to all of the class by the end of 1959.) Ringfield motor, with sprung drawbar. |
