2000 | Another L.N.E.R. classically designed loco built at the Doncaster Works. Kestrel was fitted with a corridor tender so that it could be used on the lucrative non stop expresses from London to Scotland, and remained in the L.N.E.R. garter blue livery form 1937 until 1942. In 1947 Kestrel was re-named Miles Beevor and was once more painted garter blue. The model fairly bristles with fine detail and incorporates the ringfield motor in the tender. Suitable for second radius curves or greater. |
