Year Information: The first GNER Mallard train was launched by Her Majesty the Queen at Kings Cross Station, London on 9 October 2003. The GNER Mallard Mk4 coaches, of which there are 302, underwent a £30 million refurbishment programme with each coach being totally rebuilt and refitted with new interiors to provide enhanced levels of comfort throughout the train. The new Hornby GNER Mallard Train pack includes coaching stock incorporating the revised external livery. Additional coaches will be available later in the year. Note that this train is only suitable to run o second radius curved track or greater.
