After withdrawal by BR in January 1963, The Flying Scotsman was bought by Mr Alan Pegler and repainted in LNER livery. In 1966 an extra water tender was added as BRs watering facilities had been dismantled. Hornbys fourth version portrays Flying Scotsman at this period. Tender powered by Type 5 ringfield motor. Assorted coaches were used.
