Usually seen heading dozens of wagons these locomotives were in continuous service right up to the eventual demise of commercial steam on the BR network. The plain black livery enhances the models workmanlike appearance and a glowing firebox effect can be seen from inside the glazed cab when the loco is in motion. The tender which houses a ringfield motor is fitted with a spring loaded drawbar.
