Year Information: The 2800 Class was designed for heavy haulage by G.W.R.s chief engineer Churchward. The full size prototype which entered service in the early 1900s is owned by the 2857 Society and can be seen today at the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire. The model is liveried for the period 1957 to 1965. it is powered by a ringfield motor, and has a firebox which glows when the locomotive is running.
