Year Information: The 2800 Class was designed for heavy freight haulage and it is a credit to the GWR's Chief Engineer that so many of the Class lasted until the demise of steam in the mid 60's. The model is liveried in the period 1949 to 1956 and is powered by a ringfield motor housed in the tender, with power pickups located on all eight drive eight wheels. The model also includes a smoke generator and glowing firebox which is visible when the model is in motion.
