Class Information: Heavy weight Pacific locomotives designed for Top Link passenger services on the Southern Railway were conceived during hostilities of World War 2. Towards the end of BR service ’Brocklebank Line' was transferred to the Western Region but after withdrawal the locomotive was moved to Barry for scrapping. In 1984 the engine was purchased by Brocklebank Line Rescue and moved to the Great Central Railway in February 1986.
