Originally the prototype carried the Mainline livery but in the early 1990’s, in celebration of Railfreight Distribution's link with SNCB, was repainted in the Belgium railways turquoise livery, a colour scheme that it carries to this day. A ringfield motor powers the model with pickups on all driving wheels. The model has a working pantograph that will allow control from an overhead catenary system as well as via the rail in the conventional manner.
