Model Information: In 1937 to celebrate the Coronation of George VI, the LNER inaugurated the "The Coronation" service which operated between London, Kings Cross and Edinburgh, Waverley.
It was based on the very succesful "Silver Jubilee" service which had commenced operation in 1935. There were five new LNER A4 locomotives that were assigned to "The Coronation" and they were named after Commonwealth countries.
This year two of the five locomotives have been chosen to start the collection and each will be produced in a limited edition of 1000 pieces, complete with an authenticating certificate.
