1994 | GWR 4-6-0 locomotive classes tended to bear a strong family resemblance to each other, deriving from the Saints developed in 1902 by Churchward. The model tender is powered by a Type 6 ringfield motor mounted in a heavy diecast metal chassis. Suitable for use with all Hornby GWR coaches. |
1995 | Churchward certainly left his mark and design influence on the GWR locomotives of the period and it can be argued that the Saint Class was the start of this influence. The Hornby model is superbly decorated with each of the boiler bands being painted by hand. Powered by a Type 6 ringfield motor the locomotive is suitable to haul any of the GWR coaches. |
