They have been manufactured so they can function at both ends of the Channel Tunnel. State of the art design and engineering has made it possible for the 92s to operate from four power systems and at 3 million per locomotive makes them the most expensive locomotives ever built in the UK. The Hornby model represents the first of the initial batch and incorporates a mass of body, roof and chassis detail.
