Model Catalogue Information

YEAR INFORMATION
1978 The Class 29 was one of the earlier diesel designs to be introduced onto the British Railways network and the first of the 29 locomotives appeared from the North British Glasgow works in 1959. The Paxman engined locomotives started their working lives on the lines out of Kings Cross but quickly found their way back into Scotland where they spent the rest of their careers. The model has full cab interior details and is powered by a Ringfield Silver Seal motor. The trailing and motor bogies of the locomotive have electrical pick-ups in common with all bogied Hornby diesel locomotives.
