1978 | A large class of 330 locomotives introduced in 1928, Halls operated on all the main lines of the GWR hauling all types of trains. Their relatively light axle loading enabled them to run on many of the routes barred to the Castles and Kings. The 1978 Hornby model has additional lining and decor on the boiler and cylinder blocks, and features interior cab detail and finer scale wheels. Several of these locomotives are preserved including Raveningham Hall at Steamtown, Carnforth. |
