Year Information: This set reflects the early 1950’s when railway goods yards were bustling with the movement of many different types of freight. However, because of this intense traffic, there were inevitable accidents. Due to the urgency of the task, a suitable locomotive would have been seconded from other duties to pull the 75 ton crane, plus support coach and van, to the scene of the accident. This set represents the type of maintenance unit that would have been called to the rescue.
