| 1978 | Typical of the many classes of 6 coupled locomotives on the LNER system the J83 class was taken over from the North British Railway at the time of grouping in 1923 when the numerous small railway companies were consolidated into 4 large units. Unfortunately no J83 locomotives have been preserved but the Hornby model accurately captures this excellent little class. The model has finer scale wheels and is fitted with Magnadhesion. |
