1978 | The 308 English Electric built class 37 locomotives were originally introduced as early as 1961 onto the Eastern and western regions of BR where they still perform a wide variety of tasks ranging from fast passenger to merry-go-round duties on coal trains between collieries and power stations. The Hornby model has been enhanced by the incorporation of the Silver Seal Ringfield motor mounted in a new heavy chassis and runs smoothly on its traction tyres. |
